## Notes

Storage servers without built-in hard disk drives might be classified under HS Code 8471.80 or 8473.50. There are two sample reference products attached to this definition. One is a Binding Tariff Information (BTI) issued by Germany. In this BTI, storage server without built-in hard disk drives was considered as "other units of automatic data-processing machines" and hence classified under HS Code 8471.80. Other sample is a US Ruling. US authorities decided to use 8473.50 as the applicable subheading for such storage servers. Subheading 8473.50 covers "parts and accessories of the machines of heading 8471".
