Integrated Tariff of the European Union (TARIC)
TARIC, short for Tarif intégré des Communautés européennes, refers to the common customs tariff of the European Union.
It defines a comprehensive system designed to integrate all customs and trade measures within the EU.
The TARIC system includes the following information applicable to imports into the European Union from third countries and exports from the European Union to third countries:
- Customs duties applied to imports originating from non-EU countries/regions
- Tariff preferences
- Suspended tariffs
- Tariff quotas
- Tariffs applied due to Customs Unionsr
- Measures applied to agricultural products:
- Agricultural levy duties
- Additional duties on sugar, sugar content, and flour content
- Reference prices for poultry
- Standard Import Values and Entry Price Thresholds for fruits and vegetables
- Trade policy measures:
- Anti-dumping duties and countervailing duties
- Safeguard measures on imports
- Import and export controls, quotas, prohibitions, and restrictions
