Thermocouple Type T made of seven twisted copper (Cu) wires and seven twisted constantan (CuNi) wires, individually insulated with plastic, jointly covered with Teflon or polyimide film depending on the version. The exposed ends of the two strands are welded together to form a temperature sensing point. Used for measuring temperatures in autoclaves (steam sterilizers) from -196 to 200 °C based on the Seebeck effect. The generated electromotive force is proportional to temperature and measured via a validator.
Description auto translated : Type T thermocouple available in various configurations, essentially consisting of a strand of seven twisted copper (Cu) wires, and another strand of seven twisted constantan (CuNi) wires, each individually insulated with plastic sheathing, both strands collectively wrapped in Teflon or polyimide film (depending on configuration). The exposed ends of the two insulated strands emerging from the film are welded together to form the temperature-sensing junction (the thermocouple length varies by configuration; refer to the illustrative diagram in the attachment for external appearance). The thermocouple is used to measure temperatures in autoclaves (steam sterilizers) within a range of -196 to 200 °C, based on the principle of thermoelectric voltage (Seebeck effect). It is positioned inside the autoclave with the welded tips, while the unwelded wire ends on the opposite side are connected to a validator (not part of this vZTA decision) for voltage measurement. Heating the welded junction composed of two different metals generates an electromotive force proportional to temperature, from which the temperature value is derived. The product is classified as 'thermometer, not combined with other instruments under heading 9025, not directly readable, and not liquid-filled'.
