TFT-PD Array Panel - Glass substrate containing millions of pixels. Each pixel consists of one photodiode (PIN) and one thin-film transistor (TFT). The circuits are formed on glass substrates in a similar way that a TFT substrate is fabricated in a flat panel display (repeated process of deposition and etching method). The product at issue receives visible light through a scintillator which converts X-rays into visible light, and converts that visible light into electric signals and is used in a digital X-ray detector for medical and industrial purposes
