bean waffles, consisting of chickpea waffles with beans and peas, containing the following ingredients (according to the product’s packaging): chickpea flour (27%), rice flour (26%), green peas (20%), potato starch, black beans (10%), corn flour and salt. these snacks have a high pea and bean content (57% according to the packaging). the product is obtained from the following intermediate or raw materials: - extruded chickpea micropellets, comprising chickpea flour, rice flour, corn flour, potato starch and salt; - extruded rice micropellets, comprising rice flour, potato starch and salt; - green pea pieces (20%); - black bean pieces (10%). these materials are processed and transformed as follows: - the micropellets and pea and bean pieces are moistened with water; - the moistened raw material is pressed into a mould and then “cooked/popped” on exposure to heat and pressure. snacks produced in this way are crisp and light. they are round. the (pea, bean) legume pieces are visible. each individual snack is approximately 5 to 7 mm thick with a diameter measuring approximately 90 mm
