Dabei wird das Messgerät zwischen zwei Profilblöcken angesetzt und die Messspitze bis auf den Profilgrund aus der Kunststoffschiene geschoben. Mittels der Anzeigepfeile auf der Schiene kann die Profiltiefe auf den Skalen der Kunststoffschiene abgelesen werden. Das Messgerät bestimmt den Charakter der zusammengesetzten Ware in Bezug auf die Verwendung.
