Il est conçu pour un usage intérieur. Il est composé d'une base intégrant l'électronique, d'un support pour les œufs, d'une cloche venant se poser sur la base et destinée à maintenir la température constante sous la cloche, et d'un cordon secteur. La base est muni d'un petit panneau de contrôle avec afficheur 3 digits, 3 boutons poussoirs ( SET; + ; -) et 2 leds. En mode normal, l'afficheur affiche la température réelle sous la coche. La première led (verte) s'allume quand la régulation déclenche le chauffage. En mode réglage, par appui sur le bouton "SET", l'afficheur affiche la température de réglage. On règle la température avec une action sur les boutons + et - la seconde led ( rouge) s'allume quand on est en mode réglage, et s’éteint quand on quitte ce mode.
