Red Technical Grade Petrolatum VV-P-236 (CAS-8009-03-08) is a brownish-red, grease-like petroleum jelly used as a light-grade lubricating grease and as a constituent in rust preventative compounds. It meets Federal Specification VV-P-236, with a melting point of 135°F and a congealing point of 120°F. The product is used to protect components during repair and installation processes such as injection repair of internal delaminations, seal replacement, and fuel tank access panel installation.
