Mechanické vlastnosti vrstiev fólie zároveň zabezpečujú znižovanie trenia a odvádzanie nadmerne vzniknutého tepla medzi fóliou a okolitými povrchmi v televíznom prijímači. Rozmer špeciálne rezanej fólie je 745 x 450 mm. Fólia má 5 výrezov, ktoré slúžia na jej montáž do televízneho prijímača a vkladá sa medzi sklo a prizmovú fóliu.
